Dr Om Murti Anil awarded

By Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Dec. 20: The Nepal Heart Foundation (NHF) has awarded and honoured several personalities for their contribution to society in the field of heart disease.   

The  NHF honoured personalities on the occasion of its  31st annual meeting held in Banepa on Saturday. Dr Prem Raj Baidya and Ashok  Kumar Shrestha were honoured for their dedicated services to heart patients. 

Similarly, the Gulmi and Lalitpur branches of  NHF also received awards. On the same occasion, an oration award instituted by the Mirgrendra Samjhana Medical Trust was presented to Dr Om Murti Anil for his distinctive social services towards heart patients.

The Foundation honoured Dr Anil for his special contributions to the field of prevention of heart disease.

Speaking after receiving the honour, Dr Anil said that after receiving the award he was encouraged to contribute more to the field of heart disease prevention.

More than 150 people, including representatives of 30 district branches of  NHF, participated in the general meeting of the foundation.
